How we can help
MamaTrack is a women's health app for iOS and Android with five modes — Period & Cycle, Trying to Conceive, Pregnancy, Postpartum & Newborn, and Perimenopause — plus MamaAI health chat, Partner Access, Communities and home-screen widgets. This page answers common questions, lists device requirements and explains how to reach us.
Installation & updates
- App Store & Google Play: install and update MamaTrack from the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Updates arrive automatically through your store.
- First launch: choose the mode that matches your stage and answer a few questions (for example your last period or due date). No account is needed — you can start tracking right away and switch modes later from Profile.
- Permissions: MamaTrack asks for a permission only when you use the feature that needs it — Calendar & Reminders (appointments), Camera & Photos (bump photos and appointment attachments), Notifications (reminders, weekly updates, new community messages), Microphone & Speech Recognition (on-device dictation to MamaAI) and, on Android, exact alarms so reminders fire on time. Core tracking works without any of them.
Device requirements
- iOS: iPhone running a recent version of iOS (the App Store page shows the current minimum). MamaTrack is designed for iPhone.
- Android: any phone meeting the minimum Android version listed on Google Play.
- Network: all tracking, predictions, calendars, timers, articles and tools work on your device without a connection. Internet is needed for purchases and Restore Purchases, MamaAI, Communities and Partner Access.
- Storage: a small amount of local storage holds your logs, photos and settings.
Frequently asked questions
- Is MamaTrack free? Yes — tracking in every mode is free. MamaTrack Premium (monthly or yearly) unlocks MamaAI, Partner Access, advanced cycle and ovulation predictions, BBT analysis and fertility score, the 3D Baby Viewer, unlimited appointments, Diet Plan, Medicine Reminders, Doctor Report, postpartum and perimenopause insights, widgets and smart reminders. Billing is handled by Apple or Google.
- Can I switch modes? Yes. Go to Profile → Switch mode. Your data for the current mode is kept as history, and after a birth you can move straight from Pregnancy into Postpartum.
- Do I need an account? No. Only two optional features use a sign-in: Partner Access (you verify an email with a one-time code) and Communities (an anonymous account, no email). Everything else stays on your device.
- How accurate are the predictions? Period, ovulation, fertile-window and due-date predictions are estimates based on what you log and improve as you log more cycles. They are not a form of contraception and do not replace medical advice.
- What is MamaAI and what can it see? MamaAI is a Premium health chat with a monthly question allowance. It knows your mode, your current week or cycle day and, if you accept, a weekly summary of what you track — "What MamaAI can see" inside the chat shows exactly what has been shared. It gives general information only, not diagnosis or treatment; in an emergency call your local emergency number. You can delete any conversation.
- How does Partner Access work? In Pregnancy mode, open Profile → Partner access, verify your email, choose which categories to share (week and due date, appointments, kicks, bump photos, labour) and share the single-use invite code — it expires after 24 hours. Your partner opens MamaTrack, taps "I'm supporting someone" and enters the code to get a private, read-only view. You can change categories or remove access at any time.
- What are Communities? Anonymous, moderated groups for your trimester, due month, postpartum, trying to conceive, period and perimenopause. You accept the house rules when you join, and you can report a message or block a member by long-pressing it. Messages are removed after each group's retention period.
- How do I add a home-screen widget? On iPhone, long-press the Home Screen, tap +, search for MamaTrack and pick a size. On Android, long-press the home screen, choose Widgets and find MamaTrack. Widgets update from what you log and upload nothing.
- How do I change the app language? Profile → Language. MamaTrack is available in English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu and Chinese.
- How do I cancel or restore Premium? Subscriptions are managed by your Apple ID (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) — cancel any time from your device's Subscriptions settings; nothing is needed inside MamaTrack. On a new device, open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases.
- Reminders don't fire on Android. Allow notifications and exact alarms for MamaTrack and exclude it from battery optimisation in your phone settings.
- I reinstalled and my data is gone. Your data lives on the device. Restore it from your phone's backup (iCloud or Google) or from a backup file you exported from Profile.
- How do I delete my data? Profile → Delete All Data & Reset removes everything on the device and your MamaAI data. Profile also lets you delete your cloud account, which ends Partner Access and removes you from every community group.
Privacy & data
Your logs, photos, plans and settings stay in the app's local storage on your device, and we do not upload them unless you turn on MamaAI, Communities or Partner Access — each asks first, and each can be left or deleted from inside the app. We do not sell personal information, show no third-party advertising and do not track you across other apps. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple or Google; we never see your card details.
